Simple, and right to the point. As a brand new user of AWS was an excellent introductory and useful information
I've always used Go Daddy for Hosting and do use the linux servers. This Getting Started Guide is clear and gives you the information you need, rather than a diatribe of things you might not understand. Easy to follow and complete steps to using the Hosting Service.

ASW is so powerful and has so many features...It's scary.

What a wonderful thing to have a virtual machine and NO financial responsibility for buying expensive software and hardware.
Its a very good and complete guide to learn to configure step by step a server and BD in AWS.
This is the basic documentation. Some details can be missing, but it's the basic point of reference for whatever you need to do around AWS.
